With the rise of AI and the ability to create your own workout program, your own meal plan does this mean online coaching will go?
I believe that chat GPT won't replace real human online coaching or especially face to face personal training. It will make it easier for those who are unsure of where to start to actually get started and for those who are self motivated who just want to direction and plan.
But for those who struggle with consistency, with self doubt, with giving up to easy having someone who checks in on you, learns your behaviors, see's where you can improve on and point out your blind spots this is where it can't be replaced. Yes you can create that plan, but what is to say things pop up and you just give up instead of your coach saying "hey look i know you have a lot on your plate right now, how can we adapt and change this plan to suit. Instead of doing your 4 day's a week, lets do 3 with less exercises and just aim for consistency" Instead of you looking at the plan chat GPT suggested and say oh i can't do it this week ill just come back to it next week.
I use chat GPT for my business, but the more you learn the less you feel like you know, the more information comes in the more you want to search up more which leads you further down the rabbit hole of confusion, procrastination and "am i doing the right thing". For me i would always value buying new information/hiring a coach who is able to give me direction, break it down into actionable steps/simplifying it and making it achievable.
Having AI/Chat GPT is going to give so many people the ability to start sooner and i believe is going to be an added benift with coaches Great coaching the kind that creates real long term-change - is about far more than information.
If you are wanting to get started in your health and fitness journey here are some prompts that you can use to get you started:
"Help me define my fitness goals and create a plan for it"
"Build a 4-day training schedule focused on strength and mobility"
"Create a high protein meal plan that fits a beginner cook"

The hardest part is taking action and continuing that action
